Why is Christian Education important?
The Christian Education department provides educational programs for all ages. They oversee camp/retreat opportunities and Wednesday School activities. They take an active role in Vacation Bible School, Children's Church and work with the Youth Director to plan activities.
Why is Christian Education important?
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6 NIVOur new Y.E.S. program is now underway at the Community Church! We have students involved from Kindergarten through High School. Special thanks to the MANY who have agreed to help us by being on our Y.E.S. staff. Teachers, drivers, snack helpers, music people... we need them all to deliver an excellent program.
The Y.E.S. Facebook Page is growing to be very popular! If you have students in youth programs, are a youth program volunteer (want to be on), or you are a Y.E.S. student with a Facebook account, you are invited to join.
Junior High and High School Youth Groups started meeting in October. Members recently attended Power of One, an annual Christian Concert and seminar for 7th graders and up.

The New 'tweeners group is assembling! This is an adult fellowship/study & service group that will meet on a rotating basis at members' homes, or, perhaps for an evening out. The focus is on scripture, relationships, and community service. You are a 'tweener if you're not a member of our youth program, nor consider yourself a senior citizen. (The latter definition is very casual!) Contact Pete for more info, and to make your interest known.
Adult Confirmation Class has started. Please get in touch with Pete if you have an interest in attending and completing this class. Ages high school and up are welcome.
Sunday Classes
Adults have two opportunities for Sunday School. The class with a more traditional content and format meets in the library. Another group whose study topics sometimes take a different direction meets in the annex. Both classes begin after coffee hour quiets down a bit, usually around 10:45-11:00 am.
The adult confirmation class meets at 5:30 pm Sunday evenings in the annex.
Monday Night Bible Study
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Thursday Morning Men's Bible Study
